The organization's calendar

A single view for everything that has a date: task deadlines, events, vote closings, form deadlines, your shifts and — for the staff — scheduled announcements. All members can see it, and everyone sees only their own things in it.

1What it is

Organization home → 🗓 Calendar. Everything with a date ends up in here: task deadlines, events, vote closings, form deadlines, your shifts and — staff only — scheduled announcements.

It's always on and adapts by itself: if a feature is switched off, its entries simply aren't there.

2How to use it

  • It opens on the current month: days are buttons, a dot marks the ones with something on, and above the grid a line sums the month up (“✅ 3 · 🎪 2 · ⏰ 1”).
  • The day colours (the same in every Tavora calendar): blue = today, green = day with something on; in shifts there's red as well = gaps to fill.
  • Tap a day and you see the detail split by type, with the times.
  • The arrows change month, the month name opens the month picker and tapping the year lets you pick the year. You can browse from 10 years back to 10 years ahead.

3The golden rule

Everyone sees only their own things. Every entry respects the visibility of the section it comes from: tasks restricted to certain roles stay invisible to whoever doesn't have them, the same goes for events by role, votes only show up for whoever is in the group where the vote is held, and shifts are only yours. Scheduled announcements are staff-only.

In practice the calendar never shows anything you wouldn't see by opening the corresponding menu.

4Adding from the calendar

The calendar isn't just for reading: open a day (from today onwards) and you'll find ➕ Add on <day>. It asks what to create — ✅ a task, 📅 an event, 🔁 a shift — and opens that feature's real procedure with the day already set.

  • For tasks, after the priority comes the time step: buttons with the hours (08:00–20:00, plus “🌙 23:59”), “⏭ 09:00 is fine” to skip thinking about it, or you type it yourself (e.g. “18:30”). Times that have already passed don't show up.
  • For events the time is set in the editor before publishing; for shifts with the slot or the range (e.g. “22-6”).

Only the entries you can actually create appear: the feature has to be on AND you need the permission for it. Whoever has none of them sees no buttons — the calendar stays readable. On past days the button isn't there.

5Honest notes

  • What you create from the calendar ends up in its own section, exactly as if you'd created it there — and shows up in the calendar again.
  • For your private agenda (your personal commitments) there's “My agenda” in the personal space: same logic, all yours.
